• Privacy Policy - we store your emails in three different places (Gmail, Gdrive, Wix)

• And Zoom manages contacts that have registered for meetings themselves.

• Personal Contact address book: sometimes only a nickname is stored (eg in Telegram) to make sure that if the phone ends up in the ‘wrong-heart-intent’ hands, the privacy of the contact is still somewhat respected

• Yes, we have tried what you guys have recommended (protonmail et al), and our engineer volunteers have recommended (non-gmail: Tutanota), however we found that the benefits outweighed the logistics costs.

• If you are ‘feeling sensitive’ about your own data:

  • probably the best thing to do is join by Telegram (with a nickname that inspires you)

  • as you connect deeper with us, on Zoom Solution Hubs Wednesdays - you can let people know WHAT LEVEL OF DISCLOSURE/SENSITIVITY/ privacy-transparency RESPECT you personally prefer. See who is the meeting host or who is taking the summary notes and let them know your own preferences (usually they’d ask beforehand, anyway).

  • If you are a celebrity or don’t want to ‘become one’ - this is also respected.

All you need to do is let your preferences be heard: Email | Zoom private chat to host. Everyone’s preferences are respected, such that we can be happy together without it being at anyone’s expense.
